RESORT 26 SPOTLIGHT ADEROJU DRESS
Dear Beautiful Souls,
I wanted to share a dress that’s been on my mind lately — the ADEROJU Dress.
It started, like many of our pieces do, with the fabric. The stripes are hand-dyed in Nigeria using traditional resist techniques. I always love that moment when the cloth is finally revealed, every piece comes out a little different. It reminds me that there’s a person behind every step of the process.
When we designed ADEROJU, I kept thinking about ease. A halter neckline that feels simple and open, a waist that gives a little shape, and a length that moves easily through the day. It’s the kind of dress you can put on in the morning and not think too much about — it just works.
I imagine it on warm days, traveling, long lunches that turn into evening plans. The stripes have a way of standing out without asking for too much.
Like everything we make at BUSAYO, it begins in Nigeria with artisans whose work and tradition make these pieces possible. I’m always grateful to share that with you.
I hope the ADEROJU dress becomes one of those dresses you reach for again and again.
With gratitude and joy,
Busayo
