Busayo’s Resort 2026 capsule was designed around the idea of transition. Resort, or pre-spring, represents the shift from cold weather into warmer climates — a time when women are thinking about travel, sun, and stepping into something lighter.

The collection reflects that mindset. It’s about leaving winter behind and dressing for somewhere more vibrant and alive — while still remaining wearable for the everyday woman.

Alongside the collection launch, we are introducing the Resort 2026 Documentary — a behind-the-scenes fashion documentary that offers an in-depth look at the creative direction, craftsmanship, and design development behind the capsule. The film captures the process from concept to execution, highlighting textile production, weaving techniques, and the intentional decisions that shaped the season.

Three words guided the collection: playful, calm, and confident.

Playfulness shows up in expressive prints and easy silhouettes that feel dynamic without being overcomplicated. Calm appears through the use of blues, particularly ocean-inspired tones that evoke nature and clarity. Confidence ties it together — pieces designed to make a woman feel assured and comfortable, whether styled casually or elevated.

Craft remains central to both the collection and the documentary. Handwoven techniques, including Aso Oke weaving, are incorporated throughout. Stripes play a major role this season. While classic in concept, they are created by hand, allowing natural variation and texture. The slight irregularities reflect the human touch behind each garment — a detail that is explored closely in the film.

The capsule also introduces experimentation with print placement. In select styles, garments were constructed first and dyed afterward, allowing more intentional positioning of pattern across the body. The documentary provides insight into this design technique, showing how print placement and garment construction work together during development.

Rather than targeting one specific demographic, the collection is designed for women at different stages of life. Some pieces skew younger and playful, others more refined. The focus is less on who she is and more on how she wants to feel — joyful, confident, curious.
